Program for New Owner-Occupied Dwellings
This promotion program is intended to support private households building a new home or acquiring residential property in Frankfurt. It is geared to households with children who do not yet own property and whose income does not exceed a certain level. The State of Hessen also makes financing available to promote the purchase of existing properties (so-called Hessen Loans). Low-income families with several children can draw on both programs if only with the assistance of the additional municipal loan can they bear the financial burden of buying property. The Municipal Residential Construction Support Agency provides advice and takes receipt of applications. For details on the State program you can simply visit WI-Bank. Under the heading of “Promoting Owner-Occupied Homes” you will find the requisite application.
The appeal of the program has been enhanced in the amended version of the municipal guidelines published in November 2010. It is now no longer subordinated to State support. In particular, young families can now benefit directly from the favorable terms of the municipal support program. The loans are interest-free for a maximum of ten years and are redemption-free for the first five years.
