Reason for the planning
Existing housing in Allerheiligenviertel will be secured by a zoning plan and expanded depending on the situation by better use of existing areas.
Development district
Allerheiligenviertel is located in east downtown and is about eight hectares in size. It abuts on Obermainanlage in the east, Battonstrasse in the south, Kurt Schumacher Strasse in the west, and Zeil in the north.
Planning objectives
After clarification of the open issues, legal zoning plan no. 546 – Breite Gasse – which covers Allerheiligenviertel and has been in force since 2006 will be subjected to an amendments procedure.
The urban design for the southeast downtown area will be conducted under the premises of sustainable inner-city development, the aspect of climate-friendly neighborhood development, and the provision of housing in line with social welfare considerations. The process is currently suspended.
